<description>my wife and I (both seniors in good health) are planning to make the trip on the Ghan from darwin to adelaide then on to perth on Indian pacific with numerous whistle stops and possible tours to sites around katherine, alice spgs, adelaide and others ending up in perth. We want to rent a car in Perth and tour the southwest.Definitely want to visit Uluru. We will be travelling from Lexington in eastern Ky.Travel date is sept 2011(somewhat flexible)Question:can we fly into darwin on international flight or is it more cost effective to come into sydney or Brisbane and fly over to darwin?.Thanks in advance for helping with this question. Our stay may be up to 60 days and hopefully cost around 10,000 per person.Enjoyed your facebook page. Thanks again.
